1. Describe the differences between scale and proportion in relation to a scientific model.

2. In your own words, describe why scientific models are useful, even though much of the time their scale or proportions are not accurate when compared to the real thing.

3. Describe how atoms can be mostly empty space, even though they are the building blocks of everything in the universe. (i.e. how can your desk be made of atoms which are mostly empty space if it is solid?)
