Scientists did an experiment to find the effect of temperature on the action of a protease
enzyme.
They set up the experiment as shown in the diagram. Albumen is a chemical which
makes the solution in the test tube cloudy. When the protease breaks it down, the liquid
becomes clear. The scientists placed the tubes in water baths at different temperatures
and timed how long it took for the mixture to clear.
