Three hydraulic levers such as that are used to lift identical loads (at the output side) by identical distances. The levels are identical on the input side but differ in the area of the output piston: Lever 1 has a piston of area A, lever 2 has a piston of area 2 A, and lever 3 has a piston of area 3 A. For the lift, rank the levers according to
(a) the required work at the input side,
(b) the required magnitude of the force (assumed to be constant) at the input side, and
(c) the displacement of the piston at the input side, greatest first.
