In this task, you’ll work with your partner or small group to create a presentation about each form of media, its purpose, and its intended effect on the audience. You’ll also share the strategies and techniques that these media sources used to convey information about the topic, such as word choices and the use of images or video clips.
Determine the best way to organize and showcase your findings in either a slideshow or video presentation. You can use any available presentation software to create your media presentation. As you work, decide how much time you will need to devote to each part of the content. Ideally, the entire presentation should last no longer than 15 to 20 minutes. Your presentation should follow this general outline:
Introduce the event or issue by providing background information.
State the forms of media you examined.
Explain what made the various media messages different or the same.
Make concluding statements about how readers should interpret and take in information from various sources.
Acknowledge the sources you used or referenced.
Submit your final media presentation to your teacher along with this activity.
