In this question we will transcribe DNA to RNA

What is DNA and RNA?

It consists of a pentose, a phosphate and has

  • adenine
  • guanine
  • cytosine
  • and uracil as nitrogenous bases.

RNA, unlike DNA, is composed of only one strand and it is produced in the cell nucleus from one of the strands of a DNA molecule. Once ready, the RNA goes to the cell cytoplasm, where it will perform its main function, which is to control protein synthesis.
