The Wagner Act, also known as the National Labor Relations Act, was a piece of labor legislation passed during Franklin Roosevelt's presidency on July 5, 1935.
The Wagner Act offered legal protection to workers' rights to organize unions, protest against and bargain with employers. It also prohibited any damaging labor practices by employers that prejudiced workers' rights.
