The definition of nationalism states that it is the strong belief that the interests of a nation is of higher regard than any foreign influenced interests. Therefore the answer to your question would most likely be A, although all answers above are directly/indirectly influenced by nationalism. During the World War the governments of the Western European nations required manpower and morale in order to fight against the German-Austrian army, and nationalism most likely sparked patriotism for their homeland. 

People of Europe were convinced that their nation is well equipped to take on any country or any Military threat and this led to the outbreak of World War 1 and people were able to think that because of Nationalism.

The newspapers were filled with provocative stories and many of them contained rumors against other countries and they had evil intentions behind their news stories. Nationalists ideas of these people can still be found in books, literature, music and arts of that era. People of Europe were convinced that their nation is well equipped to take on any country or any Military threat and this led to the outbreak of World War 1 and people were able to think that because of Nationalism.
