Ben has 1/2 of a loaf of bread. If he and his 3 friends share the 1/2 of the whole loaf equally, how much of the whole loaf will each person get?

3 friends

1/2 ÷ 3 ⇒ 1/2 * 1/3 = 1*1 / 2*3 = 1/6

In dividing fractions, get the reciprocal of the divisor and multiply it to the dividend. 

Each will have 1/6 of the whole loaf bread.
