The answer is interventricular foramen.  The passageway between the lateral ventricles and the third ventricle is the interventricular foramen.  In the brain, the interventricular foramina (or foramina of Monro) are channels that connect the paired lateral ventricles with the third ventricle at the midline of the brain.

The answer is interventricular foramen. A passageway called interventricular foramen to each of the two lateral ventricles connects the third ventricle. This third ventricle connects to the fourth ventricle via the cerebral aqueduct going to the central canal of the spinal cord.
