After the Japanese defeat in WWII, Korea became sovereign and after it, a civil conflict started. Both the blocks of the Korean peninsula favored different ideologies. After 5 years of the war, the final conflict started amid the two blocks on a large scale.It was also the maiden clash of the Cold War. The communist sets of North Korea started seizing South Korean regions to establish socialism in the whole peninsula. The war concluded that the block got divided into two different federations, South Korea and North Korea respectively.
