You can help your friend by doing activities with him that he would be able to do with his broken wrist until his wrist is better and you both are able to participate in extreme sports again.
My advise would be to encourage your friend not to participate in any extreme sports that would just make your friend’s wrist worse. There are many forms of gentle exercise that your friend could benefit from, without making his injury worse. Help him/her out! Encourage them. They’ll be better in no time.
