If one card is randomly chosen from a standard deck, what is the probability that a 6 is chosen, GIVEN THAT A DIAMOND WAS CHOSEN?
A. 4/13
B. 1/52
C. 1/13
D. 1/4

Respuesta :

Normally I would use the formula for conditional probability, but I think it would be overdoing.

Since we know the chosen card is a diamond, then there are 13 possible cards. There is only one 6 of diamonds, so the probability is [tex] \dfrac{1}{13} [/tex]
