Categorization or Clustering

In this type of appointment, customers with similar needs are grouped. The groups are then allotted a certain time block or portion of a day to get their services done. Blocking appointments require a lot of time as the appointments may still be scheduled during the assigned time block.

Clustering or Categorizing

This is a type of appointment scheduling for patients with related problems or circumstances in collections. Every group of patients is examined by the doctor on a particular day or within a specific time block throughout the day. This appointment scheduling system is also termed as categorization. Some of the examples of conditions that can easily be clustered into a day could possibly be the physical examinations of a patient or prenatal cases in an OB/GYN clinic.
