can i please get help with this question?

[tex]x + \frac{1}{3}=9[/tex]
We know that:
[tex]\frac{a}{b}+\frac{c}{d}=\frac{a.d+b.c}{b.d}[/tex]
So,
[tex]x + \frac{1}{3} = \frac{x.3+1.1}{1.3} = \frac{3x+1}{3}[/tex]
[tex]\frac{3x+1}{3}=9[/tex]
Pass the 3 as multiplication
[tex]3x + 1 = 3.9[/tex]
[tex]3x + 1 = 27[/tex]
[tex]3x = 27 - 1[/tex]
[tex]3x = 26[/tex]
[tex]x=\frac{26}{3}[/tex]
