How many different phenotypes are possible in a one gene/three allele system that displays codominance to each other? hints how many different phenotypes are possible in a one gene/three allele system that displays codominance to each other? six two three eight?

Respuesta :

If there are 3 alleles, all we need to do is combine each of them with eachother, making different phenotypes. If we call them a, b and c:

aa
ab
ac
bb
bc
cc

Therefore, there are 6 phenotypes (6 unique combinations).

Hope it helped,
