There are several examples that we can provide that would show how the contact between European colonists and Native Americans had negative consequences. For example, due to the arrival of Europeans, many Native Americans died. This was because the Europeans carried diseases that the Native Americans had no resistance against. Moreover, the cultures of the Native Americans were often lost due to these population changes and to laws which outlawed the practice of their traditions.
