States were not required to follow the enactments of the congress.
There was no chief executive.
The federal government had no power to tax, the government could only ask the states for money.
these are 3 but idk if they are the greatest of all weaknesses
First they did not have power to tax citizens, the second one is they did not have a executive branch, and last one the biggest problem of the Articles of Confederation, was that it only gave the states sovereignty.
