jamie and Lauren are playing a game of fraction war. They pick 2 cards each and try to make the greatest fraction. If Jamie picked 7 and 10 and Lauren picked 12 and 6 . How do you get the answer?

If they both aren't exchanging the cards and making the fractions from their own picked ones, then Jamie will will have 7/10 and Lauren will have 6/12. 
7/10 is a bigger fraction to 6/12

6/12 is 1/2 in simplified form. To check answer- in decimal format, 7/10=0.7 and 1/2 is 0.5. So, we can say for sure that 7/10 is the greatest fraction.
