What is the value of x?
Please helpppp

First you simplify both sides of the equation
8x/2=4x and 4/2=2 so 4x+2=3x-8 (3x-8 can't be simplified anymore)
Now you solve the equation
3x-8=4x+2
Subtract 2 from both sides
3x-10=4x
Subtract 3x from both sides
-10=x
So your answer is x=-10
3x - 8 = [tex]\frac{8x + 4}{2}[/tex]
multiply both side of the equation by 2
2(3x - 8) = 8x + 4
distribute the 2 to the whole parentheses
2 × 3x = 6x
2 × -8 = -16
6x - 16 = 8x + 4
subtract 4 on each side of the equation
6x - 20 = 8x
subtract 6x on both side of the equation
-20 = 2x
divide both side of the equation by 2
-10 = x
There you go! I really hope this helped, if there's anything just let me know! :)
