There are 351 students from Mason Middle School going on a field trip. The students will be riding buses that hold 52 students each. How many buses will be needed and how many seats will be empty ?Explain your answer.

To find out how many buses will be needed you want to divide.

351/52 = 6.75

So your answer would be 7.

52 x 7 = 364

364 - 351 = 13

There will be 13 extra seats.
