Answer: Three approaches used to slow down the rate of extinction or to preserve biodiversity are:
1. Prevention of deforestation and promotion of aforestation: Deforestation is the process of clearing or removal of trees and vegetation from the natural landmass. This results in decline, extinction and migration of biodiversity living in such forests. Therefore, forest protection laws should be implemented in order to prevent deforestation. Aforestation is the process of growing trees and vegetation in order to make land as forest reserve. This will help in creation of habitat for animals and promotes the growth of biodiversity.
2.Prevention of overfishing: The fishing is an economic profession allows growth and culturing of fishes on a large scale to obtain profit. This results in loss of enangered species of fishes and other aqautic animals hence, fishing should be done in a control and limiting scale.
3. Securing endangered species: The endangered species of animals and plants should be kept in a control habitat like wildlife centuries, national parks and botanical gardens in order to prevent further decrease in numbers.
