The sum of 3 consecutive odd numbers is 270.What is the second number in this sequence?

Let three consecutive even numbers be;

x , x + 2 , x + 4

Their sum is 270

x + x + 2 + x + 4 = 270

3x + 6 = 270

3x = 270 - 6

3x = 264

x = 264/3

x = 88

Thus, the numbers are 88, 90, 92
