Formation of the British East India Company (1600): It was formed for the exploitation of trade with East and Southeast Asia and India. The Company ended seizing control over large parts of India, Southeast Asia, and Hong Kong.
The Sepoy Rebellion (1857): It was an uprising in India against the rule of the British East India Company. It was named like that because of the Indian soldiers who served in the Company. They rebelled against the British Crown because of diverse causes.
Complete British colonization of India (1858): It was known as the British Raj and began after the British East Company India transferred the rule of the Indian subcontinent to the British Crown.
Formation of the Indian National Congress (1885): This is a political party in India, it was the first modern nationalist movement to emerge in the British Empire in Asia and Africa. It lead India to independence from Great Britain.
