A newborn baby has about 26,000,000,000 cells. An adult has about 4.94 x 13 cells. How many times as many cells does an adult have than a newborn? Write your answer in scientific notation.

well after pressing the link i realized you meant 4.94 x 10^13. But anyways this is easy:)
all we have to do is move the decimal to the right 13 times and so lets do that
first just write a whole bunch of zeros
4.940000000000000000
soo here we go and lets move it 13 times to the right
49400000000000.0
                          -^
see where the decimal is now?
now we just subtract that number from 26,000,000,000
so lets do that:)
49,400,000,000,000 - 26,000,000,000 = 49,374,000,000,000
now thats our answer! but it says to put our answer is scientific notation so lets do that
all we have to do is put a decimal right after the last zero and count as we move it all the way in between the 4 and 9
49,374,000,000,000
4.9374000000000 see where the decimal is now? good because we moved it 13 times
so we write
4.9374 x 10^13  and this ^13 means to the 13th power:)
hope this wasnt confusing:)
and if it did help you then
MARK ME BRAINLIEST! :D

use some propoerties of exponnets
(x^m)/(x^n)=x^(m-n)

so
convert every body to scientific notation
(number less than 10 but equal to or greater than 1) times (10^x)

baby=26,000,000,000
how many decila places to move to left to make less than 10 but equal to or great than 1
10
there for it can be writtten as
2.6*10^10

how many times bigger is adult than baby
baby times x=adult
divide adult by baby with the numbers
x=[tex] \frac{4.94*10^{13}}{2.6*10^{10}} [/tex]=
[tex] \frac{4.94}{2.6} [/tex] times [tex] \frac{10^{13}}{10^{10}} [/tex] =
1.9 times 10^3

answer is 1.9*10^3
