Hello there!

Answer:

Every war has left its own stitches, but it also inspired many authors to write what they feel on paper.

"Thoughts of Hanoi" is an epic poem written by Nguyen Thi Vinh in which describes the longest American war against the Vietnamese. The Vietnam war ended up with 58,000 American lives and caused two million of Vietnamese deaths. This is a poem written that reminisces the past and foreseeing the future, using the imagery as a descriptive kind of language in literature to re-create experiences. This poem symbolizes the current situation of Vietnam war and makes you feel like you were there, the atmosphere and how rough it was.

"Tokyo" is another poem written by John Tiong Chunghoo which describes the WW2, the atmosphere and the consequences it lead to the city. The author uses metaphors and imagery during the poem. At the beggining, he says: "A city of many many millions , a throbbing city with,  a thousand dreams , and a painful past" meaning that the war had serious consequences and affected the lives of millions, using the imagery to describe the situation after the war.
