Semimembranosus muscle is not a part of the quadriceps groups.  

The most voluminous muscle of the human body is the Quadriceps femoris. It is a hip flexor and a knee extensor.  

• It comprises four individual muscles, that is, the rectus femoris and the three vastus muscles.  

• They form the prime bulk of the thigh, and in the collection are one of the most robust muscles in the body.  

• It is situated in the frontal part of the thigh. The four sub-components of the quadriceps are rectus femoris, vastus intermedius, vastus lateralis, and vastus medialis.  

• The most medial of the three hamstring muscles in the thigh is the semimembranosus muscle.  

• It possesses a flat tendon of origin and is situated medially in the thigh, deep to the semitendinosus muscle. It flexes the knee joint and extends the hip joint.  

Thus, the semimembranosus muscle is not a part of the quadriceps group.
