Describe the major properties of the terrestrial planets addressing their composition, relative size, atmospheres, location within the solar system, and satellites, and any unique characteristics.
Terrestrial planets have different properties that are follows
They have very hard surface
Their surface are composed of rocks and metals which makes them different from other planet.
They are in the close proximity to the sun
They are mainly composed of solid particles since the volatile materials cannot remain near the sun
There are four terrestrial planets in the solar system
Mercury : The composition of mercury is mainly iron and nickle so it is very dense. mercury is the nearest to the sun and smallest planet of the solar system. its orbital period is 88 earth day
Venus : Venus is very similar to earth in respect to composition and size and mainly composed of rack materials, the venus have a thick atmosphere composed of CO
Earth : Earth is very unique planet in the universe till now because it support the life. the earth comes third position from the sun after mercury and venus. earth has a satellite also that is known as moon.
MARS : Marts is the farthest planet in respect to distance from the sun. the composition of earth is rocky with a metallic core. Mars is also called a red planet
