Will give brainiest and lots of points if answered now!!!!!!!!! Please help!!!!

Which of the following are polynomial functions?
1. (x+1)^-2
2. 10^x-8^x+6^x
3. 1/(x^2+x^4)
4. 1+x+x^2-x^3
5. (x+1)^2
6. ln(x^5-4x^3+x)

Please show work. Thanks!

Step-by-step explanation:

I will begin with saying I'm quite sorry another brainly member openly and rudely refused you help, as that's how I found your question :)

I must also inform you that there isn't much work to be shown. Rather, there are RULES.

Polynomials can't include the following:

Variables raised to a fractional or negative exponent, or any raising that's not a non-negative integer

Variables in the denominator.

Abs. value, trig functions, logs, etc

Variables under a radical

See which of your answers do and do not comply with these rules.

To begin, you can eliminate #1 using the first rule.

Eliminate #3 using the second rule.

Eliminate #6 using the third rule. This is because, unfortunately for #6, ln symbolizes a logarithm, which are not allowed as poly's.

You're left with #2, #4, and #5.

Of these, note that #2 contains numbers raised by variables. The rule states all non-negative interger raises are NOT allowed. This includes raising by the variable.

Only #4 and #5 in your list are REALLY polynomials!!!!
