This answer is indeed false. When we're talking about behavior therapy, we're talking about therapy that mainly focuses on changing of behavior that it sees as the root cause of peoples' problems. It doesn't inolve verbal modification of distorted thinking patterns - this is a characteristic of cognitive therapy. What you've described is generally cognitive behavioral therapy.
