It's hard for people to get help for themselves because they are embarrassed or afraid. Many people are scared of being judged or getting rejected so they don't want to get help. If someone asks them if they need help, they might say yes but otherwise, they wouldn't ask unless they know that nothing would happen to them, but even then, they would rather not ask.

Once down spiraling in the world of drugs, your brain starts deteriorating, you know you should stop but the back of your had is asking for more drugs, like nicotine some drugs have addictive chemicals. Also withdrawals are common, withdrawals are when your body is not used to living without constantly taking drugs or consuming alcohol. It can also be humiliating, being looked upon with shame from family members or any people who you tell.
