1500 Joules of work are done lifting a 500 N weight. How high was the weight raised as a result of this work ?

Respuesta :

AL2006

Work in general  =  (force) x (distance)

Work to lift a weight = (weight of the weight) x (distance lifted)

1500 J = (500 N) x (height)

Divide each side by  500 N :

Height = (1500 J) / (500 N)

Height = 3 meters
