Respuesta :
Other than the Aztecs, the Olmec, Maya, and Toltec civilizations occupied parts of the Yucatan.
Explanation:
The Yucatan Peninsula is located in the southeastern part of what is now Mexico. It is an area with tropical climate, not the ideal for development of civilizations, but despite that the people of the region mastered ways as to how to use the environment and make complex societies. Some of the civilizations that had territory on the Yucatan were:
- Aztec
- Olmec
- Maya
- Toltec
For three of these civilizations, the Olmec, Maya, and Toltec, the Yucatan was their homeland, the area where they developed and later expanded. With the Aztecs that is not the case, as they belonged to a people group that came from the southwestern part of what is now the Untied States ans settled into the central plateau. When the Aztecs became more powerful they started to expand, so they managed to conquer part of the Yucatan in the process.
