1. Why should cloud computing not be a set of silos? Provide real or made-up examples of why incompatible solutions will fail in IT.

We need to understand an information silo. And in this group of silos, inside an insular management system, inside which each of the subsystems is quite not good enough for reciprocal operations with the rest, and one those are related. Thus, information cannot be shared adequately. And it remains impounded inside each of the system or the subsystem. And hence, if cloud computing is a set of silos then its features like scalability, flexibility, reliability, etc. cannot be fulfilled. And that is not what is expected through cloud computing. Like if the software is stored as an information silo, then it will be hard sometimes to couple it with another as the software is stored in the form of information silo, and that can create a problem in this condition as explained above.

2. Explain why cloud computing can be more complex than a traditional approach.

In the traditional approach, we make software for a specific purpose, and we need not worry about those being used for any other purpose. However, in cloud computing, everything is processed at the quantum level, such that even each module can be reused. The same thing is true for infrastructure. This is, however, not true for a platform like operating systems. However, other than that quantum level application is achieved. And that ensures scalability at the module level. Also, it ensures that cloud computing is more flexible. And since everything is stored in one server, the security is ensured as well. And since it can be on as well as off-premises, its user friendly as well, and also more practical. But all features of cloud computing mean that it is more complex than the traditional approach where features like scalability, flexibility, etc. are not on stake. The requirement is much simpler in the traditional approach.

3. Explain how to remove FUD from cloud computing.

FUD means fear, uncertainty, and doubt. And this can be removed by storing the copy of the data at various servers, which are the data centers stored at various locations around the world. And that saves us from natural calamity as well. This is ensured by various companies currently. You will find almost all the companies following this approach now.

4. Explain what an SLA is, give examples of an SLA for one solution and explain how this relates to redundancy and uptime.

The SLA or the service level agreement is signed between the customer and the vendor. SLA redundancy means when it becomes useless. And by uptime, we mean till it is operational. As an example, we can consider the Amazon prime service. This service becomes useless when the concerned product is not being used, and until the product on which is applied is operational. This is what we mean by SLA redundancy and uptime. And these are very important in cloud computing.

5. If you were an IT project manager how would you deal with lack of training or experience? Give concrete examples of training for specific products.

If I am an IT project manager, I will ensure that the employee who does not have the proper training or experience is trained properly before he is added to the workforce. Also, I will ensure that employees get the details and proper training regularly regarding the new technologies that are added, and are relevant to them.  Like for a web developer, I will train him/her for each new technology that comes in market, and is relevant to his/her work. Like I will regularly train him/her related to all emerging dot net trends, if he/she is a dot net developer.
