Why are the commas used in the sentence "Had the changes of a lifetime been crowded into so brief a space, and were they now four aged people, sitting with their old friend, Dr. Heidegger?"
So you know to read the sentence slower then normal, that way you don't read it to fast, if you have option please give them and I will find which one is right thanks!
