-During WW1 the people were so dissatisfied with the state in which they were living and being forced to fight that many of the Russian soildures abandoned the army in WW1
- Russia also reacted poorly to the challenges of providing food, as although recent agricultural reform had led to better food production and higher yield, the Russian people still starved due to the insufficient train lines, in which most food would rot while waiting to be delivered
