In The Odyssey by Homer, Odysseus has very different experiences with the people he meets on his journey. The Kikonians battle with him and his men, the Lotus Eaters feed his men and encourage them to stay, and the Cyclops eats his men.

How does Odysseus handle each of these encounters? What do you learn about Odysseus as a result of these encounters?
