I hope all is well with you as not all is well here in the Colonies. The British have begun to tax us in such a large quantity that we are unable to maintain our own homes. We have begun to revolt and all is well. The British were awful to us and had even committed a massacre in Boston. They have taxed our tea just to feed their fat British mouth which resulted in us making their tea walk the plank. Our continental congress is meeting at this moment to protect us from the British and their tyranny. By the time you get this letter we may already be independent
