The answer is inheritance of acquired characteristics
Lamarck developed this theory. If I remember correctly this theory deals with inheriting physiological differences in the offspring. Usually the cause of physiological differences, from what I learned in college, are environment and some other factors such as diseases I believe. Diseases such as zika for example can alter the physical features of the child.
