told us, we can draw the following conclusions:
-- The objects weigh roughly 49 newtons and 98 newtons, respectively,
almost anywhere on Earth except in Liberia, Burma, and the USA.
-- In those countries, the same objects weigh roughly 11.02 pounds
and 22.05 pounds, respectively.
-- If transported to the moon, along with a bathroom scale with which to
weigh them, they would weigh roughly 1.82 pounds and 3.65 pounds ...
or whatever unit of weight is used on the moon ..., respectively, although
their masses would still be 5 kg and 10 kg, respectively.
-- If dropped simultaneously from a significant height, whether
on the Earth, on the Moon, or on any other massive body, the
two objects would fall at the same speeds, accelerate at the
same rate, and splat the surface at the same instant.
-- When hung from strings of the same length, drawn slightly to one
side, and released simultaneously, both objects would oscillate, in a
hypnotic, pendular fashion, with the same period.
-- When dropped simultaneously from the end of a 3-meter diving
board and into a calm swimming pool, both objects would hit the
