What kind of reasoning is exemplified in the following statement? Politicians who are guilty of corruption do not deserve to be reelected. Last year our U.S. representative was proved to be corrupt by using campaign donations for personal financial gain. Therefore, our U.S. representative does not deserve to be reelected.

In every statment, it the ability of someone to apply logic on the statement premises before he or she can determined if there is logic (or reason ) in that statement made or not.

This reason could be inductive reason or deductive reason. In the case of politicians that are guilty of corruption not deserving to be elected, this followed a deductive reasoning. The premise statment upon with this is based is given below:

1) Use of campaign donations for personal gain is corruption.

2) Those (US) representatives who used campaign money for personal gain are corrupt and does not deserve to be elected.

3) Therefore, those US representative who are guilty of corruption do not deserve to be elected.
