In pea plants flower color is completely dominant trait with purple flowers being dominant to white flowers. Based on this if you crossed two pure bred flowers, one white and one purple, what would be the expected probability of phenotypes in F2 generation?
A. 75% purple 25% white

If plants are purebred, then they are homozygous. This means that they have the exact same genes in one pair: for example, AA. If they are both purebred, then the dominant gene will win out every time. The answer for this question, then, would be D. Here is a diagram to help you!
