Respuesta :

y = -x/4 + 4
x +2y = 6

We need to solve y= -1/4 x + 4 for y
Let's start by substitute -1/4 x +4 for y in x+2y=6
x + 2y =6
x + 2(-1/4 x+4) =6
1/2 x + 8 =6
1/2 x = 6 - 8
1/2 x = -2
x = -2/1/2
x = -4
Now we need to find the value for y
Let's find it by substitute -4 for x in y= -1/4 x +4
y = -1/4 x + 4
y= -1/4 (-4) +4
y= 4/4 + 4
y = 1 + 4
y= 5

Answer : Y=5 and x= -4

I hope that's help... If you have any questions please let me know !
Good night :)
Make both equal to y and make one equatation: (6-x)/2=-x/4+4.now simply calculate that: 2-1/2x=1/4x+4
2-4=1/4x+2/4x
-2=3/4x
-2*4/3=x
-8/3=x.

Now y is (6-(-8/3))/2
(6+8/3)/2=y
1.125=y.

If this is wrong I'm sorry but I think it is right.
