The correlation between the amount of carbon dioxide and the plants growing is, as the plants are growing the carbon dioxide level (increasing/decreasing)
As plants take out carbon dioxide from the atmosphere which they use for photosynthesis (making food). So as the number of plants increases carbon dioxide in the air decreases.
