During interphase the cell grows and it then replicates its DNA then it prepares for mitosis
Mitosis consists of four phases: prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase
Prophase the chromosomes condensed into X structures
Metaphase: the chromosomes line up in the middle
Anaphase: sister chromatids are pulled to opposite sides of the cell
Telophase: the membrane forms and two new daughter cells are created
