The worst decision we made to "fix" gender inequality is by letting girls into the boyscouts. That is the stupidest decision ever made. The boy scouts was founded on the principles of turning boys into men, they struggle to do that if there are females with them. They want to try their hardest to impress them that they lose focus on what really matters. Besides, the girl scouts is, or was just as good as the boy scouts. Now the majority of females go to boy scouts. So there is not many females enrolled in the girl scouts, therefore there is not much funding for them. If we want gender equality, shouldn't it be ok for boys to join the girl scouts? xD
I also heard that some people get offended when they see or hear the word man, so instead of mail man they want to call it 'mail carrier' you would still be saying the word male when you say mail. So what do you want to call it people? Letter carrier? xD
This is really getting ridiculous. Also saying mankind is offensive too, they want to say people-kind to be more inclusive.
I'm sorry you had to read all my ranting, but overall. We have come a long way for gender equality. Nowadays people are breaking the once social norms, (women stay at home, take care of kids, clean house etc. and men go to work) Women can vote, they can get an education, and they can get a job. I think there is still a slight difference in pay for women and men with the same type of job (the man would make a little more for the same position than a woman would) <- once we change that, I believe we have enough gender equality, we don't want to go too far and confuse good with evil and evil good, or confuse right with wrong and wrong with right. There will never be a complete balance of gender equality. Not many women will be working in construction and lifting things. Not many men will become hair stylists and make-up artists. But what am I to say. Maybe one day when/if we have a complete gender equality balance men and women will wear the same clothes because we would all be 'equal,' men could wear bras and dresses on a daily basis and women could wear boxers boxers or something. Doesn't 100% gender equality sound a little crazy? xD.
