A construction company is setting up signs on 2 miles of road. If the company places a sign every 1 4 mile, how many signs will it use?

Every 1/4 mile it places a sign.

So we need to find out how many 1/4 mile there is in the total 2 miles.

To know that:  We carry out 2 divide 1/4

2 / (1/4)

2 * 4/1

= 8

So there are eight (8),      1/4 miles on the 2 miles of road.
