Respuesta :

Given :

Jaylin is making lemonade using 3/4 cup of water for every 1/5 cup of lemon juice.

Wanda is making lemonade also and she uses 2/3 cup of water for every 1/6 cup of lemon juice.

To Find :

The unit rate of water per lemon juice (cups) for each.

Whose lemonade has a weaker lemon flavor.

Solution :

Case 1 :

Jaylin use 1/5 cup pf lemon juice in 3/4 cup of water.

So, 1 cup will require [tex]=\dfrac{3}{4}\times 5\times 1=\dfrac{15}{4}\[/tex] cups of water.

Case 2 :

Wanda use 1/6 cup of lemon juice in 2/3 cup of water.

1 cup will require = [tex]= 1\times \dfrac{2}{3}\times 6=4[/tex] cups of water.

Therefore, unit rate of water per lemon juice (cups) for each is 15/4 and 2/3 for Jaylin and Wanda respectively.

Jaylin lemon has weaker flavour because of more water per cup of lemon juice.

Hence, this is the required solution.
