Answer:
In Ancient Egypt, the cycle of the Nile River could be predicted and it was used to the Egyptions advantage for agriculture. However, in Mesopotamia, the Tigris and Euphrates had unpreditable flood patterns that could ruin their agriculture. Many times crops would be ready for harvest and would be destoryed by the floods, ruining an entire years worth of harvest for the people living in Mesopotamia.
