How can you fully develop the characters in your short story?
Look for places where you can add more details to flesh out your characters.
Look at the way in which you present your characters and the order in which they are presented.
Look for the places where characters are referenced.
I feel like the main character should in some way portray you , the author can usually relate to the characters struggles because you unconsciously play the role of the main character when you read a book . Hope that helps
