If u need to get 20% of $34 u can find 10% which is 3.40 which means to get 20% you need to double it to 6.80 and that’s how much the tip was therefore if she had her total bill of $34+$6.80 tip that means the total is $40.80
Another way to do this would be doing 34*20/100 which will give you 6.8.
